I love when pianists and organists are expressive. Otherwise, what's the point? You might as well be listening to an audio track rather than watching a performance. No one likes watching choral ensembles with deadpan faces, either. You've got to bring together all of the senses.

@mcrettable ...I certainly don't hate him because he does the music scene some good...he certainly does not play "his own way", a lot of people sound like him, and playing like him is easy, only his "visual image", behavior on the stage makes him "special"...Beth's music was well accepted in his time by other musicians, but no one in the profession sees LL as a serious artist, when he is gone from the scene he will be forgotten instantly, recordings will not sell any more...

@fredericfranc I can see you really hate this guy. Why do you have to hate someone so much. He's not a bad musician! I do think LL is a genius, and he is extremely unique. Earlier I said "all the famous ones play the same" and you rejected that. So therefore you agree LL plays his own way. He doesn't NEED the recognition of others. He might WANT it, but he plays how he wants to. Just like Beethoven composed the way he wanted to. People laughed at his music when it was published. No difference.

It's cool how much fun he has, and of course he's brilliant, but really his face needs to shut up. I mean of course that's what everyone says, but for real. Whatever, kid was better than I am now when he was 9
