ALL of Coffey's glorious moments combined....still can't forget this one. Sorry Paul, this split-second blunder has dominated conversations about you here in Detroit ever since. We have had lots of champs and chumps come through this organization, but only own "own goal" scorer....few games later Draper's face is smashed. Guess Avs felt like they could do whatever they wanted back then. Blunders like that, who could blame them. I forgive, just will never forget. Coffey=one of the greats:)

@kjc2378 None of you are true Colorado or Detroit fans.
Colorado was represented by Joe Sakic.
Detroit was represented by Steve Yzerman.
Pointing out less significant players and saying that's what each respective teams stand for is ridiculous. The names I have just mentioned are enough.

@mickelarzon We can't all stand for taking cheap shots like hitting Kris Draper in the back slamming his face into a door then get all scared and turtle in fights. I guess that's what Colorado stands for in hockey.

Good game played by both teams. This is a perfect example of what made the avs-Wings rivalry work so well. Both teams were incredibly talented, and well-matched in skill. They each had players that the other team's fans could love to hate. the Lemieux- McCarty incident was all that was needed to spark this great rivalry.
