-Read Description! T-birds recover after a fly by over the Las Vegas Motor Speedwar. Only caught 5 of them, battery died. And the plane in the begining is a RAF L-1011 Tristar arriving. Sorry about the shaking, it was real windy that day.
I was stationed at Nellis in 73-77 when they were flying T-38s. I worked on the flightline and we would get a free show every Monday afternoon when they would return from a weekend show. They would usually bust up the field a bit before landing. It was always fun to take a break and watch.
Loving the Tristar, don't see them as much as I used to. They were in and out of Cambridge all the time when I was young. Good to see the RAF making an appearance.
There are plenty of L-10's still flying. This RAF 1011 was there for Operation Red Flag, Alot of other RAF planes were too. these are to be in service until 2014 where they will be replaced with a330 tankers
