Harry Potter: For Good (from Wicked)

A day that will change the world forever. July 21st 1997 and no one had heard of JK Rowling, but fourteen years later the fans stay up, like Harry waiting for his 11th birthday, for book releases, movie releases, cons, theme parks, and Pottermore.

I'm crying. I have chills. I can't believe it's all coming to an end. But it's okay...because all we have to do is open up one of the books, or press play on one of the DVDs, and all the magic will be right there, waiting to be experienced all over again.

@admarinelli Yes!!! That is such a brilliantly stated point that the whole fandom would do to remember. We have more than memories to sustain us: we have the books and movies themselves.
