My first IPSC match with my new gun at the Restigouche County Gun Club. The Ruger SR9 performed as well as could be expected which must have been pretty good as I came in first place in the Production division! :-)
I still need to work on my stance as is obvious in the video and my trigger press. My goal was to shoot all Alphas and I had to shoot several targets three times when I noticed hits outside of the "A" zone. The sights are not ideal for IPSC and I may put a fibre optic on the front to help me track it better. We'll see.
Be sure to watch to end for some outtakes and a shot at the most epically awesome burger of all time! :-)
@lar1517 Honestly? No idea. Fundamentals I guess. Stance/grip, sight alignment/sight picture, trigger press. (follow though and breathing probably play a part too but I haven't been focusing on those aspects yet. One thing at a time I guess.

@mmatt So give me some advise..how are you controlling that first shot so well?

@lar1517 Definitely give the SR9 a try at an IPSC match. They work very well and mine has been nothing but reliable. No malfunctions or stoppages yet.

Thanks for posting! I noticed you hit alot of the "first shots" for each section. I think that is the hardest thing to do for me so nice work! Love seeing the SR9 perform well on the course as well. Can't wait to break mine out soon.
