On september 18th 1996 Bas Andriessen presented his book "Tetterettet" (the title is taken from an album by the Dutch group The Instant Composers Pool (ICP) which was and still is the most important ensemble in Dutch jazz and improvised music), the first book ever to be written about Dutch contemporary jazz- and improvised music. At the beginning of the evening Andriessen played himself with this ad hoc ensemble of jazzgreats: Han Bennink on drums, Ernst Glerum on bass, and Bo van der Graaf on sax in the nijmegen club O42, which unfortunately had to close it's doors in the year 2000.
Jazz is not dead. It just smells funny. (Frank Zappa)
