Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Primus is paying tribute to a great band by covering one of their very exciting songs. I personally prefer the XTC version but I'm happy to know that other bands are taking notice & giving XTC some exposure to fans who might otherwise not have the pleasure. It's all good.
