Since the trailer for Saw (VII) 3D from Comic-Con '10 has been released recently by IGN, I thought I'd give it an analysis since I'd analysed the plot synopsis in an earlier video. The trailer has more to it than meets the eye initially. So I hope you like the video and feel free to leave feedback as well. It'd be much appreciated. Thanks! :)
PS: *RANT AHEAD*
Why didn't they just call it Saw VII 3D? I wouldn't care except there's talk of converting the other Saw films into 3D as well to go along with this one. That means whenever someone says Saw 3D, we'll be like, "Do you mean the first SAW in 3D or Saw VII 3D?" And it will get annoying at some point.
They said they felt it to be too cumbersome of a name, but what about films such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Bride/Seed of Chucky, Halloween 4/5/6: The Return/Revenge/Curse of Michael Myers, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Phantasm IV: Oblivion etc.
These are all films with cumbersome names, and yet they remain huge hits to many horror fans. So it really doesn't matter if the name sounds cumbersome, so just call it Saw VII or Saw VII 3D please.
PSS: *SPOILERS AHEAD*
At Comic-Con '10, a select group of fans got to see the first 8 minutes of Saw VII 3D. Here's what they said:
"The first minute of the film was Dr Gordon crawling out of the bathroom with a blood trail behind him. Just as Jigsaw closes Adam inside the bathroom, Gordon finds a steaming hot pipe and uses it to cauterize his severed leg.
As he screams, we fade away. Then we see a new Jigsaw game. It is being held in a public square with people trying to break through the thick glass. The two men wake up and Billy the Puppet appears to explain, "Mark and Ryan have been two-timed on one another by their girlfriend Dina, who has caused them to commit crimes just to stay with her. She has cheated on both with the other and has pretty much destroyed their lives."
The aim of the game is that there is a big saw in the middle of the room which will kill the slowly descending Dina if the men do nothing. Either that, or one can kill the other with one of the other two saws to save Dina. So Dina roots for Ryan who gets pwned by Mark, which is when Dina immediately starts supporting Mark instead. That's when Ryan realises, "Hey, we're only here because of her and she justs keeps two-timing on us."
Then Mark's like, "Hey yeah, fuck this!" And they just let her die, and the window is splattered with blood whilst her intestines are dangling inside the machine."

I saw that clip too. It's most likely a dream sequence though. I know they revealed Dr Gordon as being alive, but they didn't say what has happened to him throughout the other films. So they wouldn't show Jill's death if that was the huge twist of the film, since the writers said that there would be a good twist in the end.

So, if theyre using stock footage, does that mean they might bring Leigh Whannell back as Adam? Because i heard the begining of the movie would take place after Saw 1 and we would see what happended to Gordon after he crawled out of the bathroom.

@MrJsharkey
They're not using stock footage. There might be some brief glimpses of the first film's ending, but that's about it. I think that's how it is anyway.

I didn't get to go there myself, (goddamn it) but according to those who did, the cast and crew for Saw 3D were only stood so many feet away, so they couldn't record the footage.
Besides, it'd be a bit ignorant to record footage from their movie when they're in the same room as you.
