  • Hi,wonderful lyrics, sung in his own incredible sounding vocals so full of meaning and nostalgia.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @Trifecta3x3 Dan always sang on his own backround vocals esp. early on and he also used some of the members of the Eagles: Randy Misner, Timothy B. Schmit, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey. In fact, on his debut, Joe Walsh plays some fantastic guitar on "The River." He also appeared on other releases. Think about it, at the time, they were all "coming up" as they say. Dan had spent some time living in CA and given their styles, their musical paths naturally crossed.

  • Didn't he sing his own background vocals on this one? Beautiful.

  • ...lofty and atmospheric; takes me back to the place I first found your love...

  • How about somebody do a vid for Blind to the Truth or Cry in the Forest??

  • So glad to have found this song again. Was beginning to think it was a dream. Still love you baby!. xxx

  • makes my heart sing, my best friend and I sang it together

  • I have honestly listened to this song more than any other in my life and I have never tired of it. How soothing, an almost healing like feeling to it....ahhh

  • I think this is a very overlooked Dan Fogelberg classic- it's every bit as good as "Longer" or "Leader of the Band". Really great guitar work.
