you should see if the lego company will buy it from you
but thats my opinion
great work though

Nice work. I've been working on a faithfull reproduction of the AWD vehicle from the Halo series ''The Warthog".
I've been stuck on the 4W steering/suspension layout. The warthog chassis is basically an elongated X.
Your transverse rack and pinion system will do the job nicely. I'll reference you when I upload. Cheers!

@MrSubscribe10000 Yeah I had that problem, it's because there is give in the system. Basically I set it up so the wheels were actually pointing out at rest, so that when you push it forwards they pull in and end up pointing straight! Bit of a hash, but with all those cogs and connections it's impossible to make it any firmer. Hope that helps!

Thanks all for your comments, can't quite believe people are still finding this a year and a half on! And yes, I did finish it, the other video is on my channel so check out the finished project and let me know what you think. I'm still planning on rebuilding it completely one day, making it lighter and improving the steering. Maybe one day...

I'm using a custom axle on each wheel, attached to a rack and pinion setup on each arm, which is then linked via various cogs and stuff to the steering wheel at the back. Sorry I can't explain more fully than that, it's hard to describe!! And it's so tightly packed that I couldn't get a good picture of the mechanism either...
