These are the last 5 choices that the Winter Classic may be next year. It is most likely to be at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh but it is still not definite!

Pittsburgh: Heinz Field (Pittsburgh Penguins)
Washington: Nationals Park (Washington Nationals)
Anaheim: Angels Stadium (LA Angels of Anaheim)
Minnesota: Target Field (Minnesota Twins)
Montreal: Percival Molson Memorial Stadium (Montreal Alouettes)

  • Get a couple things straight here 5117, Canada has the Heritage Classic, which is composed of all Canadian teams and only Canadian teams. The Winter Classic will only focus on American Teams in order to create more popularity for hockey in the states. Canadian teams will never play in the Winter Classic and the Winter Classic came from the idea of a Heritage Classic in the states. And yes there will be a Heritage Classic in February.

  • @Demiwoody Yes. I meant to put Wild vs. Avalanche but I accidently put the Oilers in place of the Wild. My mistake. You are correct.

  • why would the wild play the oilers at target field? the wild have bigger rivals like the vancouver canucks, calgary flames, or the colorado avalanche. their biggest rival would be the canucks though.

  • @MNhockey918 It would have to be against Colorado if anyone in the division. Canadian and USA teams cannot play in the Classics.

  • toronto @montreal would be so cool..

  • @NHLextra5117 oh and synthetic ice is terrible for games

  • @NHLextra5117 most important thing though: they would be plaing in a pool in ca. no way a hockey rink would work welll there

  • @MNhockey918 I've heard a lot of news about the Wild holding it next year against Dallas with Dallas wearing the old Northstars jersey's. That would be awesome

  • @WEGSxIRISH Actually, most venues in LA have great attendances. UCLA and USC sell out every game and the Angels and Dodgers get at least 75% full every night. The Kings get the Staples Center 85% full every night and the Lakers sell out every night. Attendance wasn't the reason that the Raiders and Rams moved out of LA. Business, however, was.

  • @NHLextra5117 Yea, but put the game somewhere where it will be an intense regular season game, and where there are actually die hard hockey fans. LA can't even support an NFL team, fair-weather dipshits...

  • @NHLextra5117 Flyers vs Devils at Lincoin Financial field would be something...

  • @dchang11 Penn State is a dry campus. It would be neat but most likely will not happen.
