Is there a specific H-pipe you would recommend?
-
I just added these to my 66/289. Sounds bad ass!
-
I also ask how they sound because my speakers distorts the sound. Also on a loudness scale would you say they are louder than the magnapacks or flowmaster 40 or 44 serious?

Does this car have the stock exhaust manifold or headers? If headers, which ones?

Would this system work on a 65 289 with stock non-hipo manifolds?

@mdb205
Yes, it will work with the base manifolds or the hi-po manifolds, as long as you use the appropriate H pipe.
It's a little quieter with the lower-compression engine.

High!! I have a 65 mustang with a 302 and big Xtreme Energy 280 something hydraulic flat tappet cam. I'm running tri y headers 1inch 5/8 with 2.5 inch collectors. With a 2.5 inch h pipe. I'm thinking about switching to long tubes but I was wondering if this exhaust would still sound good w/ my engine? I hear they r loud low & aggressive so would you describe them to be magnaflow magnapacks or a louder version of regular magnaflows? Thanks

@icewear08
We have not compared them directly to the Magnaflow products.
Based on the Magnaflow website videos, we think these would be slightly louder.
