A gospel, written by the late Jerry Reed (R.I.P.),mostly known for Johnny Cash's version. Despite his great interpretation, I rather prefer the touchy version Elvis did on the box-set "Today, Tomorrow & Forever", which is different from the one on "He touched me". Maybe someone will post it on youTube too, I couldn't find it so far. This I had in mind while doing this. Enjoy, long live the King!

  • @pianomanhome actually, I think that by the time Elvis recorded this, he was at RCA and not Sun, he recorded this for the album "He Touched Me", released in 1972.

  • i like your deep voice ,which is soft at the same time

  • I like that you did it simple instead of trying to out do Elvis (as if that is possible). So many "try" to, and look foolish. I enjoyed your song.

  • the Kraut(?) accent really makes this video.

like Elmer Fudd doing a folk song.

    nice.

  • This is for the commentors that think Elvis or Johnny did this first ...You can look up Jerry Reed's original version on Youtube on tv.... Click on the pink one that comes up.....Beautiful... and btw ... Atomino8 ... u are one hella guitar picker to do this version. Excellent... sounds just like the vid i just described on Youtube.... Kudos to u.

  • Not really an Elvis Song... Jerry wrote it and sang a few times on tv but he let Johnny Cash record it first ... then Elvis (since they both worked for Sun Records) recorded a cover.

  • Well done, bravo!
