The first clip made for this Sydney-based Australian band, and their third single, initially released in 1987 on the Sydney-based Waterfront label.
"The song's lyrics deal with the Sydney suburb of Brighton, mentioning the now long-gone Brighton Hotel, which was a rock venue in the early 80's, and place the song inside a make-believe cartoon picture remembered from a children's book about Popeye." (Paul Berwick - vocals/gtr - 2008)
The song is available again on the comprehensive Happy Hate Me Nots 2CD compilation "The Good That's Been Done" released by the feelpresents label in 2006.
A terribly underrated and over looked band.

Ha! I made the clip [back then] with Andrew Traucki [who directed Blackwater a couple of years ago....amongst other things] We charged $500 a clip! Great bunch of guys - brings back memories.

Their live sound wasn't much different to this. No over-kill on ampage - you could hear both guitars inter-twining melodies.
