IT SOUNDS A BIT LIKE THE DAVE CLARK FIVE. THE INSTRUMENTAL BREAK HOWEVER IS QUITE DIFFERENT THAN THAT. AND IT'S FROM AN ACETATE. WOW ANOTHER GREAT SONG THAT DIDN'T FIND A LABEL. I WONDER HOW MANY MORE SONGS LIKE THAT ARE LOST MIA.
The late "Ducky" Dave Gibson released this on one of his Moxie collections years ago. It is indeed the Sheep of "Hide And Seek" fame, who also recorded as the Strangeloves. Truly one of garage rock's absolute masterpieces!
It's like the Dave Clark Five had a party and the Yardbirds decided to crash it. Absolute genius.

This is a cool find. I bet this is producers Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein and Richard Gottehrer aka The Strangeloves.
They cut a 45 for BOOM! Records as the Sheep called "Hide & Seek".
