Scanner error has to do with when the scanner moves all the way to the left it comes to the end. It doesn't know where the left end is. You can easily fix scanner error by setting copy functions to letter, and don't use limits setting.

We had an HP laser printer at my school that would get jammed 9 times out of 10. I swear nearly every time I sent something to the printer, I would come to it and see "printer jam" in the screen. Even if we only put ONE FREAKING PAGE in the tray at a time it would get the accordion printer jam in the top part.
