池田さんが20代でこれを描いているというのも驚きだが、ご自身­で　これは若い頃だからこそ描けた、と言われてるので格別に情熱もこ­もった作品なのでしょう。

いまだ少女劇画の頂点に君臨しているように思われる。

男装の麗人には誰もが魅せられてしまうものですね。

フランスの人がベルばらをどう思うか知りたいなー。

I feel very lucky that I got a chance to get a hand on a legitimate copy of the Rose of Versailles DVD box sets Region 1 in Canada. Many north American fans who love this anime don't know there's a company called Imavision (you can check their info on the English wikipedia website) which released this anime under another title called "Lady Oscar" on Amazon US and Canada marketplaces prior 2011. It got both French and Japanese dub only, but still a legal copy from Region 1.
