This is a higher quality capture of the same closedown available on my channel, the old clip will be removed due course. Sadly I hit the Stop button as soon as TV-am finished, I wished I had kept it running for the Granada start-up :(

Call me sad but I remember stuff like this with a tear in my eye, getting up for work and having this on in the background. Those were the days :)

Anyone know of some 100% quality videos of things like this? Would love to grab some.

TV AM was really great breakfast TV. They don't do breakfast TV like that anymore. Mike Morris and Lorraine Kelly were brilliant as TV hosts and the sense of humour between them both was fantastic.

Shame TV-AM isn't on our screens anymore. Maybe it might come back one day!
