DIonne is Whitney's cousin, not aunt. Check your facts, people. You can really hear the similarities in their voices here. Dionne was a HUGE influence on Whitney...moreso than even Aretha, who Whitney always cited as her favorite singer. Their voices blend together so perfectly! This is a lovely lovely performance.

I like Whitney's voice when she didn't resort to vocal acrobats. She didn't need it. Her rendition of I Will Always Love You starts great but then it sounds like someone shot off a canon and she is flying through the air wailing, AND IIIIIIIIII E IIIIIIIIII.....
