The auspicious occasion of Ganesh jayanti on 26th January 2012 will never be forgotten in the history of Chinmaya mission. It was on this blessed day that the consecration of Pranav Ganesh Mandir on the hilltop of the serene and beautiful Chinmaya Vibhooti took place.
Events of the day started off with the early morning puja, followed by the Shikhara Abhishekam with the sacred waters of the seven Holy rivers from the kalashas, which were empowered with the vedic chants during the previous two days. Shikhara abhishekam was performed by Swami Tejomayananda - Global head, Chinmaya Mission Worldwide, and Swami Brahmananda - Regional head, Chinmaya Mission Karnataka, accompanied by the continuous chanting of the Lord's name by Swami Advaitananda and other acharyas, creating a spiritually charged environment.
Meanwhile the eyes of the Lord Pranav Ganesh vigraha remained covered. Shikhara abhishekam was followed by Prana Prathishta of the vigraha. Prana Prathishta ceremony was completed as Swami Tejomayananda and Swami Brahmananda uncovered the Lord's majestic eyes and left the viewers speechless.
The abhisheka to the Utsav murti by devotees with 1008 sanctified kalashas followed. The programme concluded with the temple being offered to the public. The most touching moment was whispering of the lord's name in his ears by Swami Tejomayananda.
The programme was attended by thousands of devotees from near and far. We invite you all to experience the divine magic of the Lord Pranav Ganesh.
