*Just heard the tragic news an hour ago another one of our legend (Les Paul) had passed away today....the world will miss him dearly.

Video inspired from Dante's Divine Comedy and poem from Virginia Eliza Clemm Poe (aka Annabel Lee).

Her first and last poem ever written and was dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe just shorty before her death.

Ever with thee I wish to roam
Dearest my life is thine.
Give me a cottage for my home
And a rich old cypress vine,
Removed from the world with its sin and care
And the tattling of many tongues.
Love alone shall guide us when we are there
Love shall heal my weakened lungs;
And Oh, the tranquil hours we'll spend,
Never wishing that others may see!
Perfect ease we'll enjoy, without thinking to lend
Ourselves to the world and its glee
Ever peaceful and blissful we'll be

David Bowie - My Death Lyrics

My death waits like an old roué
So confident, I'll go his way
Whistle to him and the passing time
My death waits like a bible truth
At the funeral of my youth
We drank for that and the passing time
My death waits like a witch at night
As surely as our love is bright
Let's not think of the passing time
But whatever lies behind the door
There is nothing much to do
Angel or devil, I don't care
For in front of that door, there is you

My death waits like a beggar blind
Who sees the world through an unlit mind
Throw him a dime for the passing time
My death waits to allow my friends
A few good times before it ends
Oh! Let's not think about the passing time
My death waits there between your thighs
Your cool fingers will close my eyes
Let's not think about the passing time

But whatever lies behind the door
There is nothing much to do
Angel or devil, I don't care
For in front of that door, there is you

My death waits there among the leaves
In magicians's mysterious sleeves
Rabbits and dogs and the passing time
My death waits there among the flowers
Where the blackest shadow cowers
So let's pick lilacs for the passing time
My death waits there in a double bed
Sails of oblivion at my head
Let's not think of about the passing time

But whatever lies behind the door
There is nothing much to do
Angel or devil, I don't care
For in front of that door, there is you

  • The song 'My Death' is actually a song by the great Jacques Brel, Bowie also covered JB's 'Amsterdam.

  • It's a cover of a cover, but well executed.

  • beautiful tribute...
