Alex Eklund, a student at Baylor University, posted a status on Facebook stating, "I'd rather have a Proverbs 31 woman than a Victoria's Secret Model". Since then, other
Baylor students and their friends have reposted, made graphics, and even a page has been made for it all because of the positive reaction it received from the people that saw it. Here are Alex's thoughts on the movement's beginning as well as some of his goals for the movement and what he believes the message means to so many people. Lastly, the Victoria's Secret models are beautiful women. Women who are undoubtedly beautiful inside as well as out. This video is not portraying them to be the opposite of a Proverbs 31 woman, but yet as a hypothetical statement. If you are on FB you can see how external beauty is often more highly praised. This is all he was trying to state with the title, no sense in getting your feathers so ruffled!

Alex, this is BEAUTIFUL! :) I'd buy a t-shirt, but you didn't make any for women :( Can you make a t-shirt in pink that says "I'm a Proverbs 31 woman?" Also, please make some in XS for the small Proverbs 31 women out there (me)! :) You're an inspiration. Thanks :)!

A good wife is a gift from the Lord. You don’t stand a chance of getting one apart from His grace and mercy. The best way to find one is to close your eyes, listen with your heart and beg God for His grace and mercy in your choice. There are beautiful women who are single who will not settle for less than a very godly man. There are ugly women who make awesome wives because they are not arrogant and have learned to be attractive in character.
