"Stop Violence: Responding to violence against women in Melanesia and East Timor" sets out the Australian Governments priorities and actions to combat violence against women in the region. This includes Australias support to increase womens access to justice and support services, prevent violence against women and deliver a coordinated and comprehensive response to the issue.
It was launched at the 20th anniversary celebrations for UNIFEM Australia in Canberra on August 11, 2009. Elizabeth Cox, is Regional Programme Director, UNIFEM Pacific Regional Office.
