From April 17 to 20, 2010, 11 friends backpacked from Rialto Beach, near Forks, Washington, north to Cape Alava and Lake Ozette. It was cool and sometimes rainy. The scenery was magnificent with many offshore islands and "haystacks". We saw many bald eagles, deer, harbor seals and fortunately - no bears. Except for the first day we hiked at low tide to be able to get around the rocky headlands. I hope that you enjoy these pics. The first piece of music is "The Immigrant" by Joanie Madden. The next, of course, is Louis Armstrong.
The "Chilean" and "Norwegian" memorials commemorate the crews lost when their ships foundered on the rocky coast there.
Thanks for this, it looks beautiful :-)
