@CiderCanRaver Took Brit Lit in school, the change in usage/pronounciation/spelling of many words came from the need to not be subjegated. With most English speaking countries, the Brits were there until they were ready to take their boots off the natives necks. The U.S. pulled the boot off and shoved up their asses.
