What about a Geared Soprano Ukulele SU14 or a LANIKAI LU-21 Standard Soprano Uke? Would those work ok? Each from the places I found they ranged from $30-70. Would that be normal?

BRAVO!
You present this song better than most of the "professional" concerts. I'm thinking about starting the Uke, any suggestions or advice?

Thanks! Ignore the $10 ukes from Wal-Mart and aim to spend AT LEAST $40. An Ohana SK-35 would be even better and it's soprano size so good to start with. Then you'll find that even a cheap uke sounds much better when fitted with decent strings: Aquila Nylguts or Worth Browns. And join a club if you can ~ playing with others is (almost) the best fun you can have!

The Lanikai's the better of the two, but by no means perfect! See if you can find an Ohana Soprano SK-10 and if you can stretch to an Ohana SK-25 so much the better because it's not laminate (ply) it's solid wood! Woo hoo! Better tone for sure!
