I think she meant she was 2 pawns up as white's c pawn is doubled and they are useless.

interesting novelty. the pawn sac was well worth the improvement in black's position. especially in blitz, when your opponent may not have enough time to find a suitable answer.

Not at all. When I play chess I only think of what's going on the board. There could be a fire or earthquake I would not notice :-)

Arhhh...this is a much better format. Very difficult to follow the previous games because the chessboard was hard to see properly.
Chess looks pretty cool in Russia...not so great in the UK. Some clubs have failed in my area because although we can get juniors we don't have the adults to keep them interested or to run the club. Mathematically speaking in the UK, it seems that for for every 1 adult that leaves we lose 5 children. It would be great to get some of the adults playing again.
