  • About how hard this piece is compared to other Prokofiev sonatas: I would say it's also greatly a matter of tempo and diction in the playing. Especially in the Scherzo and Tarantella.

  • @GMElias2863 I would disagree. I play the 2nd sonata. It's easy. At this level you should be playing the 7th, 6th, 3rd, etc....

  • Fantastic playing but sadly this isn't a very good competition piece (far from Prokofiev's usual showy stuff) for a competitor at this top level... Pieces more like the 7th and 3rd sonata are far more in order.
