I had a 1994 elantra and loved the thing, It was bullet proof except the garbage tranny, the bands started to get loose and slip and the tranny shop said they cant even be tighted :(

Agree, the two small dishbrakes in front are hardly enough to get an 1.6 liters to stop in time:)

what is so special in this vid? 220 is not very fast for us germans. 220 is normal for a car with only 140HP. There a lot of Cars, i mean more then a lot of cars which are better in all aspects (bmw,audi,mercedes,vw,toyota,honda,...............). I take it to serious so have fun with it when its still alive.

Oh well, I drive a lot on the autobahn, also with different cars. Top speed till now is 265 (auf tago) in a volvo s70 r, also driven mercedes cls (290 ps), audi a6 3.0tdi on topspeed, volvo still a little faster. Well.... etc etc etc
208km/h real kilometers (measured with navigation) with a 2.0 liters korean car is not so bad. So thats the speciality on this vid. btw, this car now drives somewhere in africa... Would be nice to hear how fast it goes in the Sahara:D

Wow your brave. I would never do that speed in a lantra, I'm amazed it didn't fall to pieces like they all do

Well, I guess you dont have an eye for cars or maybe lantras?:) I have got a new one, a stationwagon, and it goes also 220. And no, i did not have to return to get the fallen pieces from the road. However... the breakes are not designed for those speeds... So be sure therethe road is a little empty.
