THis is a quick pad style binding that add thread to the glued spine for strength. Clamp up sheets of paper, cut grooves into spine edg, force thread into grooves add thinned glue let dry and then add more glue. Allow the whole ting to dry under pressure and then slice the stack into the thickness ofbok you want, add somethign to strengthen your spine a cover and your good to go.

it's meant to be more of a scratch pad kinda thing, BUT it's more sturdy than you'd think.

How well does this binding hold up to daily use?

better than one would think. I go through journals pretty quickly so a half inch thick notebook is done in a month.
