@Mpalmer00 Guthrie Govan has better ears than anyone out there but I still like Timmons' style better. People tend to make their personal preference about the artists, while the artists in fact have nothing to do with it. At this level all of them have great ears and a great technique, they don't do much aside from guitar playing so I'm sure they can play whatever they want. But if person 1. likes Timmons better he tends to projec that on in this case Vai and his fans. And I say enjiy them both!

@dennoow the only real comparison here is how good their ears are, and no one has better ears than timmons :) and ofcourse is a much more adaptable player on the back of that. Though your right, who cares! both technically brilliant!
