Ácido Cianúrico / Cyanuric Acid - Parte/Part 3

O ácido cianúrico é um importante químico da indústria de produtos de limpeza/sanitização, em especial na indústria de produtos químicos para piscinas, além de ser precursor em várias sínteses orgânicas.

No terceiro e último vídeo, mostro como sequei com relativa rapidez o ácido cianúrico recristaizado. Uma simples caixa com tampa, furos laterais (para saída de umidade excessiva) e uma lâmpada incandescente de 100 W com bocal liga-desliga e tomada.

De 60,8g de reagentes iniciais foi obtido 17,4g de ácido cianúrico recristalizado (~40%).

Cyanuric Acid is a chemical that plays a role in sanitizing chemicals, specially pool chemicals. Is OTC in many places of the world and sold as "chlorine pool stabilizer" and indirectly as "chlor tables" or "symclosene" or something like that (all of it is/have trichloroisocyanuric acid or its salts).

From 60.8g of reactants (urea and NH4Cl), was obtained 17.4g of recrystalized product (recrystalized cyanuric acid)..~40%of theory. Not too bad...

In this (third and last) video I show how I dried the cyanuric acid (relatively fast) using a 100W incandescent lamp in a cardboard box (with holes drilled against a wall - to moist air escape).

No, is a 'commom' chemical (chlorine stabilizer, pool chemical - although Ive never managed to see that OTC.. So the obvious choice is to make it yourself! And is wahat Im doing).
