No Capcom officials stated that although Nero's mother is unknown thus far, he is Vergil's son, thus explaining his connection to Yamato and his DT looking almost e-fucking-xactly like Vergil's in DMC3 SE.

Yamato, a sword that was used by Sparda and separated the demon world and the human world, can cut anything. Rebellion, sword given to Dante from his father Sparda, is one with Dante, Strong as he gets. Force Edge, hides a secret power that can only be use correctly by a blood related to Sparda, is the personal sword of Sparda. Later the sword show his true form to Dante, Dante named it as his late father, Sparda.
