Giant Dream Buck Pennsylvania Whitetailed Deer In Velvet

A magnificent deer in velvet filmed in the wilds in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. The deer was also harvested in the 2008 gun season. He sported 8 points with an inside spread of 17 1/2 inches.

(This is a special deer because in the woods surrounding me BUCKS just do not get OLD enough to have nice racks....even with anlter restrictions! The hunters kill almost every buck they see. They even hunt on MY posted property and poach. Hunters are impatient and lazy. I had a hunter/neighbor next to my propery tell me: "The only good deer is a dead deer." As an avid archery hunter...that makes me sad. I guess you can't change the mindset of the masses or the stupid in Cameron County!)

Thanks! It was a thrill just to be within 20 yards to take pictures. The taxidermist aged this deer at 3 1/2 after it was shot. Imagine how nice he could have been with another year. He had a 17 3/4 inch inside spread.

I saw him one night under my apple trees after coming home. ..I had been up in the woods trying to get HIM in archery. It was dark and he and the one I ended up shooting a few weeks later were just sitting under my tree. I put my hat light on and there they were. I was within 10 yards on my 4 wheeler. I just shook my head and went in to the house in disgust!

I tell you what those point restrictions are paying off. I have a cabin right off 120 in sinamohoning( never be able to spell that) and alot nice deer but your right that is special.
