  • Who sings this song, my husband likes it?

  • @bebwhite The band is 3 Doors Down, the song is "Citizen Soldier" which they wrote for the Army national Guard,,,my video pales in comparison to theirs. Thanks for checking it out.

  • Bansheeman,

Im glad I could just bring some recognition to our soldiers for all their dedication and service. This video was a rtibute to them.

    Thank you.

  • Nice vid. The Piper was a nice way to end it.

  • Thank you,

the piper is LTC McClements, commander of the Tyler Medical Response Group,TXSG and a good Scotsman as well. He came into the shelter on his day off to play the pipes for us and raise our spirits, it worked well and we greatly apreciate his dedication as an officer as well as a doctor.

Now, if only we could get the Kilt aproved as an authorized part of the uniform,,,,,,,

  • @kcimb I dont know,,,when are youy going to pull people out of a hurricane?

Obviously you are confused as to what makes a good, dedicated soldier. Going into a combat zone doesnt automatically square a soldier away. There have been a lot of shit-bags who have "gone to war" and a lot of dedicated, excellent, professional soldiers who have never heard a shot fired in anger.

Do not insult these soldiers or their commitment with your comments about them never going to A-stan.

They don't. It is run soley by the State of Texas.

  • Good stuff. I'm thinking about joining. I'm going to a meeting their having at a National Guard Armory on December 11th to get more info.

  • @jonaskinn

Whoa, I just asked a question. Don't get so sensitive. I'm curious, but "deploy" does not mean in state. Deploy refers to outside CONUS. I know a few Army E-7s who will rip into a PFC for suggesting his "year long deployment" to Fort Bragg or Polk was "hard". Deploy means to Afghanistan, Bosnia, Qatar, UAE, Dubae, etc.

  • @kcimb As soon as you stop being a duechebag

  • When are ya'll deploying to Afghanistan?

  • Glad the State Guard is there to fill in when we (National Guard) are overseas.

  • Glad we have the Texas St Guard to fill in when we (National Guard) are overseas. Good Stuff.
