The new premise of CCTV comprises of the main building, television/culture centre and annexed facilities with a total floor area of 550,000 square metres. The main building is composed of two tower buildings with 52 storeys, 234 meters high and 44 storeys, 194 meters high respectively. The two towers are connected by a cantilever steel structure, with a total floor area above of 47,000 square metres and 140,000 tons of steel was used in total.
