  • Excellent! When I was about 17 years old, back in the 70's, I learned a song he wrote for the banjo by listening to the album, a song titled "Black Anthology". I hadn't had much opportunity to see him since then and discovered about then that Mr. Mahal is an excellent banjoist....and an excellent guitarist and blues singer and somewhere on here you can find him tearing up the "Statesboro Blues" on the piano. Taj Mahal is one of the greatest musicians I ever heard. Thanks for posting this.
