McCain Gets Laughed at and Booed

McCain gave a pro-Bush administration, war-mongering speech at the New School in New York City and was laughed at and boo-ed. Instead of trying to address the protestors he just kept on reading his boring speech off of a prepared script. This is the day I lost all respect for McCain.

So, the question is, do you really want this guy to be your president???

Washington and the rest of the founding fathers would all individually be willing to have Bush Jr. hanged at their own expense if they were alive today for treason. Washington never would've embraced a policy of pre-emptive war nor would he of attacked his own country ala 911 to insight anger to go to war and drum up hatred against Muslims who did not do the killing that day in September. I'm not a Republican,but I think it's pathetic and lacking all intelligence that these people turn their backs on John McCain,but when these same people who turne their backs speak or want to be heard they demand respect.That's the problem with society in general,people do not think they have to give respect,but demand respect.Especially the people who contribute nothing and haven't accomplished anything are the ones who think they entitled.

@acehighpat Ok, I'm gonna be fare. Even though Jean Rohe and the audience at the ceremony was childish, ignorant, and flat out disrespectful, John McCain was asking for it. A college graduation ceremony is not the place for any politician to be promoting a political agenda, especially when it involves sensitive topics like the war in Iraq. The student who yelled "We're graduating, not voting" made a good point. If John McCain simply was there to congradulate everyone, it would have been fine.

@duckduckgreyduck A lot of politicians use a commecment address for their political platform. That year, McCain spoke at three schools: Liberty University (where he was well recieved), Columbia University, and New School University. It was not well recieved at the New School. Students and faculty protested the decision. All through the speech there was heckling. My favorite was when a student yelled, "We're graduating, not voting" lol.

"I had a friend once" actually sounded like he was making a joke! People laughed at the joke, then realized it wasn't a joke and laughed some more! It was funny. Chill out, partisans, anyone would have gotten laughed at for saying those words with that inflection. I think the booing was people telling others to stop laughing.
