Do you want to feel your best this spring? The solution is super foods. Registered Dietitian Dave Grotto, will tell us some optimal foods that taste good and are good for you.
I write about Optimal Foods that we should all be eating in my new book, 101 Optimal Life Foods, I recommend including whole foods in your diet for optimal health. Almonds are one of the most delicious optimal foods and just a handful of almonds a day may help you maintain healthy cholesterol levels. A one-ounce serving, or about a handful of almonds, provides 6g protein and 3.5g fiber and is an excellent source of vitamin E and magnesium. The primary fat in almonds is monounsaturated (9g), with one ounce containing a total of 13g unsaturated fat, all with only one gram of saturated fat and theyre cholesterol free. Keep almonds in a portable container and refill it with an ounce of almonds every day. Carrying your almonds in a portion-controlled tin is a convenient, portable and satisfying solution for on-the-go snacking.
