What kind of banjo is that you're playing on? For a no resinator type, it has a very bright and wonderful sound. I'm looking for a banjo that does it all---clawhammer and bluegrass. That one looks like a good possibility. Great job on the song and thanks for posting it.

@d2majzoub - well when it comes to answering comments in a timely manner ... I guess ya just can't rush onto things!!
The banjo is a Deering Goodtime. It's a low cost, but very nice little banjo. It sound great and pays well. bright I have the head twisted down pretty tight and the strings tuned to A - for that bright sound. I love it. I've about worn it out!

Ive never heard the words to that tune

There are four verses and a chorus to the song - written in an era of language we might today consider flowery and laborious! They are lovely, none-the-less and expertly paint a rich picture of life and values from a time not too far out of reach.

It all sounds better on a blue banjo!
