  • Elvis didn't do no drugs!!!

  • @tkoizumi Yeah, but crazy people take to religion like fat kids take to candy. It provides a ready-made structure for delusional ideation. Put another way, religion can make sane people believe crazy-ass shit. What chance do actual crazy people have against that?

  • @wayneo1257 That's a lie. Most physicists do not believe in a god.

  • @MrRhomas913 yeah he even lied when he said god condone slavery. he is a moron . god did not condone slavery. you didnt literally sell your kids into slavery you made a contract with a rich person to have your child work for them which in turn provided a stable life for that person the so called slave had all his rights and could vote and purchase. if a master killed the slave then the master was put to death .dont sound like modern day slavery to me.pen and teller are morons

  • At this point my response to you would be...Why should I drop a quarter just to pick up a nickle. A discussion with you is a pointless waste of my time and I'll not engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man. Good day

  • @wayneo1257 Ah, arguments from authority. Won't work.

  • @TomFynn If you believe it's not logical, then it is only illogical for you! I also believe that Max Plank (Nobel prize laureate and considered "The father of Quantum theory) was much more intelligent than most of the people here (you and I included) so, take the "non sequitur" issue up with an Quantum theorist...I'm certain they would be at least amused.

  • @wayneo1257 "We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind." Non sequitur.

  • My point is their is a conscious, (obviously) super intelligence at work in the universe and, Max Plank, thru his study of the atom, understood that. Regardless of the 70 years that have passed, the truth of that statement has not changed. Among (most) quantum physicists, and I hate to contradict you but, they do believe is some sort of God (personal or impersonal). Does God not exist because not ALL humans say he doesn't? We could go on and on about this...but you either believe or you don't.

  • @wayneo1257 Yes, and that was seventy years ago. We have come a long way since then. I think you are also forgetting all physisists who do not believe.

Max Planch was only human, all humans can have deluded beliefs. Einstein was a deist, does that mean some god exist because he thought it did? No, because no scientist have absolute authority, and no man's word is law.

Newton was (apart from also being a christian) a big fan of alchemy, is alchemy correct because of Newton's achievements?

  • "As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." Max Plank
