Co-Directed by Babatunde Akinloye, Sean Murphy + Maurice Tuiasosopo Bell (Spring Quarter 2006 @ UCLA)

Sean Murphy: "Stumbled across this while researching the state of education highlighted in the documentary "waiting for superman" (in theatres now). Big shout out to my brothers Babatunde Akinloye and Maurice Bell - two leaders, who stepped up to make this happen with no budget in a matter of a week or so to address a critical issue. Also, thanks to everyone who contributed, especially George Turner, who truly breaks it down the diversity crisis at UCLA. Str8UpNdown Productions, "A socially conscious media movement," was my first attempt at running a business. It's lessons, experiences and the great people involved still influence my perspective in growing businesses and bridging gaps in my work, today. The name, Str8upNDown was birthed out of a song written by Adrian Baily (Champ of Move.meant) which mixes in a famous quote, "The world is very different now... and yet the same revolutionary beliefs are still at issue around the globe... the torch has been passed, to a new generation... united there is little we can't do, divided there is little we can do." -JFK. The issue of access and quality education needs even more leadership and resources today, than ever before."
