Dead Cicada - Hee Bee Gee Bees (as The Beagles)

Parody of "Desperado" by The Eagles, recorded in 1981 by English radio comedians from "Radio Active". This and many other style parodies were included on two LPs headlined by a parody of the Bee Gees, the Hee Bee Gee Bees, portrayed by Angus Deayton, Philip Pope, and Michael Fenton Stevens.

I liked Radio Active when it aired, back in the 80's. I never knew about these albums that were released until long after they'd disappeared into obscurity. Shame, really, as they're very funny and clever parodies of many famous, well-known artists.

Angus Deayton is the straight guy in a few of the early Mr Bean Sketches.

Also did stuff with the Oxford revue,Comic Relief and Alexi Sayles Stuff to name a few.
