  • Those guys will beat you with a stock gun or a modified one. Their overall times are only slightly better with a modified open gun. Take a look at their scores sometime and you will see.

  • Willing to bet it's .38 Super.

  • I hope to one day be able to shoot like that

  • Sweet !!!

  • @DeadeyeSteve of course it will kill, but I'm talking strictly competition killing evil cardboard paper. :D

  • @mifslim OK, perception is reality. But, plz consider that just because the blast doesn't make babies cry a mile away doesn't mean it isn't deadly. I dont wanna get hit with 185 grn .40 S&W rnd travelling 900 fps. It would kill.

  • @DeadeyeSteve True, but Im shooting a 40sw, 901fps avg, 185gr. RIght at 166PF. I concider that powder puff loads. :D

  • @silverrelic If you shoot with an out of the box gun you would be in the Production division shooting against other out of the box guns... and you'd get beat because the other shooters are better that you. I beat lots of shooters with more capacity and heavily modified guns with a 1911 based on skill, not equipment. It's only about equipment between two equally skilled shooters. 90%+ it's the shooter not the gun.

  • @bearsfan1294 This was the real world- the real world of seeing how much speed can be wrung out. You can't get this speed out of stock pistols. But these two could still running incredibly fast with a factory pistol, just not as fast as with the best equipment.

  • @DarkCharisma2 I observe that David Sevigny beat lots of 1911 based triggers repetitively with with his Glock.

  • @mifslim Not exactly true. It depends mostly on what is being shot. Open guns have less muzzle flip but significant rearward push. The comps require lots of gasses, lots of gun powder, lots of rearward push as a result. The power factor for Major eclipses factory 9mm. There are no powder puff rounds in USPSA/IPSC or IDPA.

  • Nice!!
