Did you guys like the pun I made in the video title? This is part 2 of 2 in my series of a day in the life of John Lennon. These clips come from my personal collection, but they are all available on YouTube, but I put them together in chronological order. These videos were recorded on Saturday, April 11th, 1980, and on Sunday, April 12th, 1980, at John's country home, Cannon Hill, in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. This clip from Sunday, April 12th, 1980, features John and Sean hamming it up for the camera in the living room of Cannon Hill and the Lennon family (with Sean's nanny, Helen Seaman), having lunch in their yard. They were filmed on both of these videos by Helen Seaman's nephew and John's then personal assistant, Fred Seaman. On the source material for this video tape, the lunch immediately follows John and Yoko watching TV as seen in part one, but for the sake of continuity I split these so that they fit with the theme of this series and fit chronologically. Anyway, enjoy everyone.

  • Just picked up a book entitled The Last Days Of John Lennon by Fred Seaman(John's personal assistant from 79-80) and watching these videos seem to transform me back as if I was with John in those last years. Amazing to see these as I'm reading about it as I type.

Fred is a good buddy of mine, thanks for reading his book.

  • @NeilFraudstrong After my whole Life as a John and Beatles fan, I discovered his book and bought off amazon from someone from CA. Fred really took me into John's inner circle and one of my best reads in a long time. Please pass that along and thank you for your videos.

I will definitely tell him. He likes to hear about people who have picked up his book.

  • I heard somewhere that she quadrupled his fortune in the 70's ... talk about being clever with money!

  • Lol, I can relate to the conversation early on where John apparently likes some house somewhere but can't quite convince his wife. LMAO. Typical eh

  • i miss him :(

  • This would have been an interesting Reality show: 'The Lennons: Imagine That!'

  • Imagine no possessions. (I'm trying)

  • John's death just goes to show (and reinforce) the sobering fact that one day you can be living regular and "normal" like this, and maybe the next day, or maybe in just the next several months like in his case, your life can be over.

  • He kind of sounds like my dad, who's from England (London, not Liverpool, but still). He seems to have a similar "storytelling" style to my dad. Wonder if it's an English thing? :)

Compliment you listened to what John says here and that you could understand it...!!
