Yes, there is adjustment room in the throttle boss itself, just loosen the allens and you should be able to rotate it some, if not then remove the boss and rotate it backward until the screw holes in the grip line up with the next open holes in the throttle boss hope this helps.

I had the bike in dealer service so I had them install the grips on my Street Bob.
One problem, however, the boss is too high/fwd. So I really have problems with in town riding and on the highway, when I get the throttle/boss down to a comfortable position the bike exceeds 80 mph and goes on speeding up.
Alas, the shop trashed the instructions, and before I go messing with things, can I just loosen those end Allen screws and just lower the boss? I don't know if they are more like a set screw

No cables on 2008 and UP touring bikes. It's now throttle-by-wire. The white cap on the end is wired to an electric motor in the throttle body.
