In the opening notes of Angels in America, Tony Kushner makes a specific note concerning playing the Angel for laughs. I think it applies to most of the characters though. They are naturally funny in the absurdity of some of their lines so it is not necessary to play it up excessiviely. And I don't think she sounds like Mary Louise at all. But that's just me.

which is not a good thing shouldnt you be trying to create your own character rather than to copycat someone else's
priors was quite differant which i liked although i thought it was a wee bit casual for his emotional state in the play and it was a bit too much playing for laughs for my likeing overall i think it was quite good

Haha yah Carolynlucas, Allie and I are in LOVE with Mary Louise Parker's performance and I think she deff looks up to her as an actress! Who wouldn't : ) Glad you liked it
