The Southwest Disability Conference is currently being held in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Texas Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities and the New Mexico Governor's Commission on Disability partnered this year and it is the largest conference they have ever had! Over 900 participants in the conference! Texans are well represented with Sharron Rush from Knowbility, Phill Jenkins from IBM, both keynote speakers and then we have Sarah Brody from Goodwill Industries from Central Texas, Kathy Keller from the Governor's Committee and Hiram Kuykendall from MicroAssist in Austin. Also we have a very talented Artist in Residence here from Texas, Kris Jorgensen, who is a new graduate from Texas A & M Corpus Christi. He is an extraordinary talented Ceramicist. The video shows him "throwing" some pottery on the wheel. The video shows Texans representing and presenting at the conference. Thanks to All who have taken time out of very busy schedules to join us here. We appreciate your stewardship and work on behalf of people with disabilities everywhere.
