Pardon me if I'm mistaken but were these horses train to walk like this for the plantation owners so they wouldn't bounce in the saddle?

Actally there are TWHs in England but from what I understand they don't want padded horses.
I prefer padded anyday. I like unusual. But the majority of show horses to pleasure is huge. Only about 5% of the TWH population is padded.

That's where you're wrong. Your queen prefers TWHs for her riding mounts. She's bought several of them from Middle TN.

Grew up with these horses and love them. They are awesome and far sounder than the uninformed know. Used to groom for the show horse (the one with the big lick). Makes me nostalgic.
