We heard this everywhere in the late 1960 and 1970s. Very popular and mood lifting.zakir

This brought back memories from of 1967 or 1968. I used to know the guitarist, Anis Katariwala, and hung around with him then when he was studying at Govt. School of Architecture in Karachi. Don't know where he is now. As I recall, this was a first one by The Fore Thoughts that was cut on a 45rpm record, and I believe, the first record of Eastern music played on Western Instruments.

This is not from the 70s, it's from the late 60's.

I also have the one by the Panthers that was done around the same time. I also have the Sohail Rana version which is very good.
